Former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will be hosting the ESPY awards show on July 12th, which celebrates the best moments in sports.
Peyton Manning is emerging from retired life to host one of the best award shows, in my opinion.
A sports award show called the ESPYS, will be hosted by the former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on July 12th. This year will be the 25th year for the award show.
The show takes place in Los Angeles on the ABC network starting at 6 PM MST.
For those who are unfamiliar with the ESPYS, the award show celebrates the best moments in sports from July 2016 on. The Denver Broncos were up for a few awards last year, including best championship team.
During last year’s ESPYS, Peyton Manning was honored with the ESPY Icon Award. He along with Kobe Bryant and Abby Wambach were presented with the award. All three retired from their professional sports last year.
When asked about hosting the ESPYS, Manning was thrilled to be a part of such a great show.
"“It’s an honor to be asked to host the ESPYS, and it’s even more meaningful that it’s the 25th year for this incredible event. The ESPYS have been a part of my life during my entire career. I can still remember attending my very first show back in 1998 before my rookie season in the NFL.”"
Peyton Manning has enjoyed a time of peace and relaxation following his retirement from Pro Football. His last season was helping the Denver Broncos win Super Bowl 50.

I am very interested to see what Peyton Manning will do as host. I am certain that there could be some retirement jokes that come out. Maybe even some jabs at some teams, players, and perhaps his brother. Looking forward to seeing him again.
