The first head coach to bring the Denver Broncos to the Super Bowl, Red Miller will be inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame in 2017.

Before Robert “Red” Miller became the head coach of the Denver Broncos, the team was struggling to find its identity. Many seasons of disappointment were tough for a team who was just starting out.

Having Red Miller come into the picture helped shape the franchise to what it is today. For that, he will be celebrated for his accomplishments.

The Denver Broncos announced that Red Miller will be the 32nd member to enter the Broncos Ring of Fame. And what perfect timing too. The Denver Broncos will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the team’s first Super Bowl appearance.

Red Miller led the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl XII. Sadly, they would be defeated by the Dallas Cowboys 27-10.

However, Miller’s accomplishments include the first playoff appearance, divisional title, and no losing seasons during his tender with the Denver Broncos.

It was Red Miller who began the Denver Broncos path to their winning ways. Even though he only was the Broncos head coach for four seasons, he made quite the impact.

His record as head coach for the Broncos was 40-22, an impressive feat. Once he became the head coach, his mission was clear to get the program on the right track. And he certainly did that.

This Ring of Fame induction will be a long time coming. While I never got to see Red Miller coach, I am certain that he was a great man behind the bench.

His impressive feats will now forever be enshrined in Denver Broncos history. What an accomplishment to become a member of the Ring of Fame. Congratulations Red Miller. This is an honor that you have been waiting for and rightfully deserve.
