This offseason for the Denver Broncos did not provide any big time splash plays. With a roster that is basically set, the focus was the needs. Running back happened to be that need when Kapri BIbbs was traded. Maybe even before then.

While John Elway did draft De’Angelo Henderson, they made a big move just three days after the draft. They came to terms with former Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles.

The deal is reported to be for one year. A great deal for a player like Charles who can make a huge impact in the offense.

Injuries have had a number on him in the last two seasons. He has only played in eight games over the last two seasons. It will be something to keep an eye on during training camp and the season.

However, he can make a huge impact for the Denver Broncos. This is especially true when it comes to the running game. He is that explosive player that can make things happen in the backfield.

Jamaal Charles coming to Denver could mean a variety of things. I believe that De’Angelo Henderson could become a practice squad player because of this move. That will benefit him so that he can learn the playbook.
