There have been other blogs on Predominantly Orange concerning the Denver Broncos’ draft but I’ll put my own spin on it here.

I will explain things by discussing the first and last selections and how they personally relate to me.

For starters, I have several things in common with Garett Bolles.

Bolles and I both are graduates of Snow College. Additionally, we both served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Mountain Time Zone.

From there, we differ. I then went to Southern Utah University and he to the University of Utah. He became a 1st round draft pick of the Broncos and I write for Predominantly Orange.

Thus, with my comparable experiences to Bolles, I can relate to what he said at his presser.

Missions are special. These are opportunities for us to serve others and love them as well.

When Bolles says he loves being drafted by the Broncos, he really means it. Much of this, I guarantee, has to do with him serving in Colorado Springs.

For instance, if I received a media job in Tucson or El Paso, where I served, it’s more special. Thus, rest assured that Bolles has a passion for the Broncos no other player can touch. For that, Broncos Country should be truly grateful.

Now, as for Chad Kelly, my similarity is a bit more embarrassing to share, but therapeutic anyway.

I am a Kelly in my own sphere, a talented reporter, who has been blessed to work for other Broncos blogs.

Nevertheless, like Kelly, I ran afoul of authorities and became ineffective. Mile High Huddle, picked me out of the Mile High Report morass and let me do things for them.

I was remotely successful, recording podcasts for them and finding favor in their sight.

Now, I’m indebted to Sayre Bedinger, playing the Elway role, and “drafting me,” as Kelly was, as “Mr. Irrelevant.”

With that said, viewing myself in the Kelly role, I’m here to get better and enhance the best Denver Broncos blog on the planet.

Thanks Sayre and FanSided, and let’s see how these new draft selections pan out.
