The Denver Broncos are now the “Butt” of all jokes in the media as they draft Jake Butt from the University of Michigan…

I love some Butt.

The Butt of all jokes in the locker room is rookie tight end Jake Butt. Continuing the trend of Big Ten talent on the roster the Denver Broncos could potentially have a tremendous future at tight end. In what seemed a gloomy position is now stocked with some solid depth.

Butt is currently recovering from a right ACL injury and the Broncos see a quick recovery. According to Mike Klis, the team might get him back during Training Camp. If healthy, Broncos landed a first round talent at TE. Really good athlete. I can get “behind” duo of Jeff Heuerman and Jake Butt in future.

The hands of Butt are like magnets. He catches everything. Recently, Matt Miller compared him to Jason Witten. The Broncos will be elated if Butt receives remotely close that level of play. However, Butt is similar to Witten. Butt finds the soft spot in zone coverage and is a quarterback’s best friend because of it. Both quarterbacks and Broncos brass will be happy knowing Butt has a bright future at the tight end position.

Sit back and admire these highlights and ten minute documentary of Jake Butt and forsee what he could be like in a Denver Broncos uniform.
