The Denver Broncos traded up to draft Georgia wide out Isaiah McKenzie in the fifth round. How will he be able to impact the depth chart for them?
More juice has been added for the Denver Broncos offense as Isaiah McKenzie has been drafted by the Denver Broncos. John Elway moved up and traded with the Green Bay Packers in order to move up three spots.
I have heard a bit about Isaiah McKenzie during his time at Georgia. He is a speedy guy who can make a huge impact right away. The last two picks have been solid for the Denver Broncos as far as impact players.
McKenzie measures in at 5’7. While he will not be the biggest player in the draft, he does bring the quickness and his returning capabilities make him a solid option for the Denver Broncos.
So, how much of an impact can he bring to the Denver Broncos depth chart?
As a fifth round pick, there is a chance he will not see the field on offense right away. I am not sure if he would be considered to become a slot wide out. Plus, he would have to compete with Carlos Henderson most likely.
He does have the return abilities that the Broncos have been looking for. Trindon Holliday was one of the most electrifying returners, but had issues with handling the football.
Next: Broncos Trade Up for Isaiah McKenzie
McKenzie could be that next Holliday for the Denver Broncos. I would like to see what he can do for the team once he gets a hold of that playbook and becomes situated in the NFL.
However, there is no doubt that he could be that dynamic playmaker that the Broncos have been looking for. The special teams needs a boost and that is what Isaiah McKenzie can do.
