The Denver Broncos addressed depth at the defensive line and pass rush with addition of DeMarcus Walker as their 51st pick.

Much has been made as to who will replace DeMarcus Ware on the defensive line. The Broncos took the first step by drafting a DeMarcus. Walker is a gifted pass rusher that needs more grooming in his motor, but all things considered the Broncos drafted a potential Malik Jackson to their defense.

Walker comes into the NFL with Malik Jackson’s weight. Jackson weighed in at 284 pounds, while Walker tallies 280. An inconsistent is the common theme, but durability is a huge plus for the Broncos who ranked near the bottom in run defense in 2016.

Addressing the defensive line is a bigger need than pass rush; however, drafting Walker proves losing Jackson in free agency proved costly.

One of the more underrated part of Walker game is disrupting the passing game with knocking the ball down. Walker may see the field in year one and made it known the chip on the shoulder he has coming into 2017. Read what he said in Troy Renck’s tweet from a couple minutes ago.

Out is DeMarcus. In comes a new DeMarcus.  Here are highlights of the Broncos second round selection.

Looking at these highlights, Demarcus Walker could be a great player for the Denver Broncos. Seeing his speed and his ability to get to the inside and get to the quarterback is amazing.

He should be a great addition to the Denver Broncos defense.
