With the 101st pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select Ryan Switzer, Wide Receiver, North Carolina.

Ryan Switzer is a guy that will play only in the slot but could also take over punt return duties as well.  A third round pick may be a bit of a stretch here, but this is the Broncos compensatory pick so it is very nearly a fourth rounder anyways.  Switzer just makes too much sense for this team, and this offense, and the best way to get him is to pick him when they have the chance.

Ryan Switzer does fill two holes for the Broncos.  He’s a dynamic threat in the return game, and will line up in that Wes Welker/Brandon Stokely role on offense.  The Broncos haven’t had a true slot guy since Welker.  Mike McCoy and Adam Gase ran very similar systems in their previous stints in Denver, and both utilized the slot reciever in a big way.  Switzer would come in right away and fill that role.

He is an extremely quick-twitch receiver that runs crisp routes and isn’t afraid to go over the middle.  If he catches the ball in space, he is incredible after the catch and can do some extreme damage to a defense.  Ryan Switzer would be a difference maker in this offense, and should absolutely be a Bronco.
