Quarterbacks the Denver Broncos should consider in the 2017 NFL Draft
Kelly is a very confusing prospect to me.
On the field, you’ll see a guy that — at times — looks like a really good NFL prospect. In 2015, Kelly vaulted himself in the first round discussion after leading Ole Miss to some huge wins in the SEC, including a big win over Alabama.
Kelly’s on field ability has been overshadowed up to this point by some strange off-field antics. The most recent of which is running onto the field of his younger brother’s high school football game.
Despite his tom-foolery off the field, Kelly looks like an NFL quarterback but he needs some tweaking. He is inconsistent and doesn’t appear to make proper in-game adjustments at times. He relies heavily on his natural ability it seems.
Still, this is a player that could be worth developing. He’s got a strong arm and good enough mobility. He suffered an injury at the end of this past season that forced him out of workouts before the draft, and a separate injury prevented him from performing at the Ole Miss pro day.
