While I think Forrest Lamp might be the most pro-ready offensive lineman in this year’s draft, Garett Bolles is the highest ranked tackle on my board and the number one offensive lineman in general.

Like a couple of other players on this list, there’s no guarantee Bolles will even be available for the Broncos in the first round of the draft. Some people will knock Bolles for his NFL readiness and age (he will be 25 as a rookie after serving a mission), but to me this is the most athletic and nasty lineman in the class.

There’s also a negative perception out there about this year’s class of offensive linemen. While it’s not the best group of tackles I’ve scouted and everyone has their flaws, there are some good players and some guys I think can (and will) be long-time starters in the NFL.

Bolles is certainly one of them.

He blew scouts away with his workout at the Scouting Combine, and was sensational in his one season at Utah after working his way through Community College.

Bolles showed dominance as a pass protector, and a nasty disposition that is unparalleled in this year’s class. I think there’s no question he could be a starting left tackle from day one in the NFL, but he obviously needs to add some strength and work on his overall technique.

An NFL offensive line coach should be able to teach this guy pretty quickly and I think he’ll make an impact right away.
