With OTAs beginning, Von Miller has begun working with teammates in Dove Valley and he believes this season will be very memorable in terms of production…

As the Broncos offseason weight program began this week, Von Miller didn’t hesitate on providing a bold claim. During an interview with Marc Sessler from Around The NFL, Miller proclaimed that 2017 was going to be the best season of his career.

The overall thought to that statement is scary if Miller makes that statement come true. Since his debut into the NFL in 2011, Miller has accounted for 73.5 sacks in just six years (including 2013 when he was suspended/hurt).

Miller can surpass 100 total sacks if he accounts for at least 13.5 sacks the next two seasons. He had 13.5 sacks last season despite missing offseason programs during his contract negotiations.

"“I feel like this Von coming up is going to be my best Von that I put forward. It’s gonna be my best year, that’s what I’m going for,” – Von Miller on his 2017 season outlook"

Upon hearing this declaration, NFL quarterbacks have been put on notice. Many offensive coordinators around the league game-plan against Von Miller by way of double and triple teams.

It won’t be that easy this season, and it wasn’t easy last season for teams who attempted to do so. A factor of Miller’s motivation stems from being one vote shy of defensive player of the year voting (won by Oakland’s Khalil Mack).

In 2012, he experienced the similar outcome against J.J. Watt. There is no question that Miller is feared off the edge and highly respected around the league.

In 2017, Miller plans on setting a warpath through opposing QBs. It’s nothing personal, but Miller is hungry for redemption and has a work ethic that will give him every opportunity to create havoc.

The Broncos will face some formidable opponents in 2017 that will test Miller and this Broncos defense. He will get the chance to sack Dak Prescott, Eli Manning, Carson Wentz, Ryan Tannehill, and of course Tom Brady.

Already familiar within their division, Phillip Rivers, Alex Smith, and Derek Carr have those games circled on their calendar with a memoir: “Watch Out For Von”.

What do you think Broncos Country? Will Von Miller have his best season in 2017?
