The NFL announced the preseason opponents for each of the 32 teams. For the Broncos, most of the teams are not a surprise.
Seeing the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals on the slate seems routine as of lately. The Denver Broncos have played these two teams more commonly in the preseason than any other team.
The second preseason game in Santa Clara will be the Broncos first visit since winning Super Bowl 50.
For the second year in a row, the Denver Broncos will travel to Chicago to open up the preseason against the Bears. We will get to see John Fox and the new look Bears. No Jay Cutler this time around.
Perhaps the biggest surprise for this preseason slate is the third game of the preseason. The Broncos welcome the Green Bay Packers. The third preseason game is normally the dress rehearsal game.
Having the Packers as the big preseason game will be very entertaining to see. Aaron Rodgers would most likely play 75-80 percent of the game.
As far as the Arizona Cardinals are concerned, the Broncos seem to always play the preseason finale against them. In fact, they are the most common opponent for the Broncos in the last preseason game of the year.
It will be interesting to see how they fair. The Cardinals will be playing five games this preseason.
