The Denver Broncos made their biggest move of the free agent period when they signed left guard Ronald Leary, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys.

Leary has been a very good starter for Dallas the last few years, and brings a level of toughness, physicality, and experience that was desperately needed for the Broncos’ line.

Max Garcia was the team’s starter at left guard this past season, and he could factor into the equation here if the Broncos decide to use Leary at right guard, but my guess is they will keep him at the spot he has excelled in for awhile now.

With Leary in the fold, the Broncos could get creative with guys behind him. Billy Turner was acquired last season via waivers from the Miami Dolphins. The former third round pick out of North Dakota didn’t live up to the standards Adam Gase had set for his offensive line last season, so he was cut in the middle of the year.

He was picked up by the Ravens, and released when they needed room on the roster for another position.

The Broncos then scooped him up the second time he hit the waiver wire, and he’ll get a look in camp as well. He played sparingly in the regular season for the Broncos last year, so we really have nothing from him to evaluate.

If John Elway sees fit, the Broncos could look to add some depth here, but I think the guard position has been pretty well set unless they add someone that can play both tackle and guard.
