Champ Bailey to Enter the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame
By Tylor Walden
One of the most dominant cornerbacks in NFL History, Champ Bailey will be entering into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
Champ Bailey made a huge impact for the state of Colorado. Now his efforts are being recognized.
The former Denver Broncos star cornerback is among four individuals who will be enshrined in the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
He joins Dante Bichette, Jeremy Bloom, and John Wooten in the Class of 2017 Colorado Sports inductees.
There was no question that Champ Bailey would be entering the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
Perhaps his next inductions will be even bigger. Perhaps the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame? And of course, the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Champ Bailey retired almost three years ago. All of Broncos Country was sad when he could not win a Super Bowl during his career.
But there is no doubt on how much of a difference he made for the team.
During his ten year career with the Denver Broncos, Bailey recorded 31 of his 52 interceptions with the team. And there were some memorable moments with Champ.
Who can forget the 100 yard interception return against the New England Patriots in the game that ended Tom Brady’s undefeated playoff record?
Or his season of not allowing a touchdown pass thrown his way in 2009.
Champ Bailey went up against some of the best wide receivers at the time and completely shut them down.

While injuries and his play did end up leading to his release from the Broncos, Bailey proved time and time again during his years that he was a solid option.
Broncos Country sure does miss Champ Bailey.
Congratulations on your induction to the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. Well deserved.
