Predicting the Denver Broncos 2017 Regular Season Schedule
By Tylor Walden
Week 1: at Miami Dolphins
Series History: Miami leads series 11-6-1
I have the Denver Broncos on the road to start the 2017 season. And how fitting to have the first game of the year for Vance Joseph be against his former team.
South Beach has not been kind to the Denver Broncos in franchise history. The Broncos have only one win in Miami. That came in 2011 when Tim Tebow led the Broncos to 15 points in three minutes.
The Broncos would score a field goal in the overtime session to win the game 18-15. It was the win that sparked Tebow Time or Tebowmania.
The biggest win for the Broncos against the Dolphins came in the team’s only playoff meeting. A 38-3 thrashing of the Dolphins in the Broncos first playoff game when they went on to defend their Super Bowl title.
The last time these two teams met, they got involved in a shootout. Peyton Manning led the Broncos to 22 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to give the Broncos a close 39-36 win in Denver back in 2014.
