If the Broncos don’t take an offensive tackle in the first round, there’s virtually no point in doing so until the middle rounds. There aren’t many top flight tackle prospects in this draft, if any, and someone like Davenport could be the ideal pickup.

Davenport had big time production at Bucknell, but the competition level will be vastly different as he moves on to the NFL. He has incredible size at 6-7 318 pounds with over 36-inch arms.

The upside with Davenport is very high, and new offensive line coach Jeff Davidson is said to have taken a liking to him. The Broncos will assemble the best starting five they can up front in 2017, but the rebuilding of the offensive line will be a multi-year project.
