Denver Broncos mock draft: Post free agency update

In addition to the strength of this draft class at the tight end position, the Broncos have to cash in on one of the best classes of defensive backs I can remember looking at. One thing that it’s clear John Elway has sought out in mid-round picks is experience, high level of production, and leadership qualities.

Damontae Kazee has every single one of those traits, and despite being a bit smaller (5-11, 190), he’s a good athlete who knows how to get his hands on the football. He could also contribute on every special teams unit.

The Broncos are doing a little bit of future planning here with this selection, getting someone who could potentially move into a starting role down the line if/when Aqib Talib’s time is up.
