When you look at what the Denver Broncos need on offense and on special teams, McCaffrey fits the description. One of the best playmakers I have watched in my time evaluating talent, McCaffrey is a threat to score every time he touches the football.

Whether as a running back, receiver, or returner, McCaffrey is just one of the best pure football players in this year’s draft class. He has great short-area quickness, and while he doesn’t have the type of power you look for in a featured back, this is a player that is going to touch the ball 20-25 times per game.

He’s a new breed of ‘featured’ back in the NFL, not unlike what we’ve seen from David Johnson with the Arizona Cardinals. The Broncos need a player that will provide instant impact in the first round, and McCaffrey should be at or near the top of their list. He is such a dynamic playmaker, and exactly what this Broncos team needs.
