Denver Broncos Interested In LT King Dunlap
By Tylor Walden
The first wave of free agency is completed. However, it appears the Denver Broncos are looking at adding a former Charger to their O-Line.
The first wave of free agency has ended in the NFL. Now teams will be looking towards the second wave while preparing for the draft.
However, the Denver Broncos do not appear to be done in regards to improving their offensive line.
According to Pro Football Rumors, King Dunlap is on the Denver Broncos’ radar.
Dunlap was with the Los Angeles Chargers last season. When the team signed Russell Okung, it was the nail in the coffin for Dunlap’s time with the Chargers.
With the Denver Broncos interested in him, it would basically be like swapping left tackles. That is assuming the Broncos are able to sign him.
The team appears interested in other left tackle players as well. And a trade for one is still in play to this point.
From my point of view, having King Dunlap on the offensive line would be a solid addition. He was one of the least penalized linemen last season.
The only issue with King Dunlap is the injury history. The 31 year old veteran missed 13 games over the past two seasons due to injury.
Having Dunlap could help as far as what the Broncos do in the draft. If the club decides to draft a tackle in the first round, he could be a solid fit while the developmental draft pick gets his footing in the NFL.

If healthy, Dunlap could be the best chance the Denver Broncos have without having to trade for another player.
He could make that offensive line a bit better from where the team stands at this point.
This could be something worth watching as the NFL transitions from free agency to the draft. I feel like John Elway will have one more trick up his sleeve for the Denver Broncos.
