Kasim Edebali drawing free agent interest from Broncos
The Denver Broncos continue to look into possible upgrades to their defense, and reportedly interested in hosting free agent Kasim Edebali for a visit…
The Denver Broncos are not done trying to upgrade their defensive front in free agency, reportedly interested in hosting defensive end/edge rusher Kasim Edebali for a free agent visit soon:
Edebali had five sacks as a reserve in 2015, and seems to have potential as a situational pass rusher and special teams player. Plus, he hangs out with Anthony Mackie, the cool factor of which cannot be overstated:
Here are some highlights of Edebali with the Saints:
Watching that film, it’s clear to see that Edebali has a high motor, and doesn’t ever give up on a play, even when he’s knocked to the ground. He may not have the ability to be a full-time starter, but playing in reserve, he could be a very effective weapon in one-on-one situations with this star-studded Denver Broncos defensive front.

Born in Germany, Edebali would also be the second European-born player the Broncos have signed this offseason.
John Elway spoke to the media on Monday, noting that the team is ‘not done’ looking at free agents. He was speaking specifically to the situation at left tackle, but in general, the Broncos have a number of areas to address, and Edebali would fill part of the on-field role left behind by DeMarcus Ware, giving the Broncos a solid four-deep rotation off the edge.
The former Boston College product was scheduled for restricted free agency this offseason, but like Zach Kerr, the Saints declined to tender Edebali. Their loss could wind up being the Denver Broncos’ gain.
