The Denver Broncos have added some depth at the linebacker position by signing former New Orleans Saints rusher Kasim Edebali.

For the Denver Broncos, the linebacker position has become one of the more premier positions on the defensive side of the football.

Adding to the corps of linebackers is never a bad thing.

After Demarcus Ware announced his retirement on Monday, the Denver Broncos signed former Saints DE/OLB Kasim Edebali to a one year deal.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The move is figured to be a depth signing. He could also help the Broncos in special teams.

Kasim Edebali spent his first three seasons with the New Orleans Saints, recording eight sacks during his time with the team.

While with the Saints, he played in the 4-3 defense as a defensive end. He will most likely play outside linebacker in Denver.

My thoughts are that he will be playing behind Von Miller and Shane Ray. Edebali and Shaquil Barrett should be the guys to come in the events of the players needing a rest.

I honestly like this move. Especially with how the depth of the Denver Broncos linebackers are.

However, there is speculation that this could mean that Dekoda Watson does not return. But I honestly would not rule that out.

Having Edebali on special teams should help wonders. He has not missed a single game during his time with the New Orleans Saints.

Edebali arrived in the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College in 2014.

I am very interested to see how he performs as a Denver Bronco. I believe the potential is there, especially if he can show that he can get to the quarterback.

The Denver Broncos are not done yet in free agency. Cannot wait to see what John Elway has up his sleeve.
