Brotherhood

While many call it dirty, it was much needed. It represented the “kicking and screaming” mantra that John Elway demands of his team. There was no fine from the NFL.

I recall Talib starting a skirmish with Harry Douglas after Douglas had blatantly attempted to take out Chris Harris Jr. Analysts were quick to jump on Talib, but I praised the move as did others who understand the brotherhood of football.

Being a defensive back, there is a fraternity. It’s to fly around and shut it down at all costs and Douglas attempted to end Harris’s career that day. The Broncos defense struggled all day until Talib sent a message going after Douglas.

There is a fire and passion in Talib that not many possess in the NFL. That is why I believe the Broncos should shut down the notion of trading him.

Talib was voted as the NFL’s Number One Pass Coverage Defender this past season where he didn’t allow a single TD pass. Combine that with Chris Harris JR and Von Miller off of the edge and you have that hard to beat formula.
