The Concerns

Fast forward to present day and I’m sure that he has since changed his mind, but the NFL and it’s fans are unsure of Talib. Many question Talib’s off the field antics as a reason for a release or trade, and also bring up his on field incidents.

In a 27-24 loss to the Colts in Indianapolis, Talib had apparently poked TE Dwayne Allen in the eye late in the game that set up the field goal. Sure it was a bonehead move, but some fans called for his release on the spot.

In the Super Bowl win vs the Panthers, Talib was penalized for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty twice. One of them was for taunting on the sideline

The other was facemask on a tackle made hard out of bounds after a Corey Brown catch and run. What news lied ahead for the Broncos and Talib would create the media’s spin into the Broncos letting Talib go.

Reports that Talib had shot himself had circulated following his admission into a hospital in Dallas, Texas. Originally, the belief was that he was shot and it was unknown if he shot himself or not.

The NFL conducted an investigation but didn’t find enough evidence to punish Talib for violating the NFL’s Code of Conduct Policy.
