The Denver Broncos closely monitored wide receiver Marlon Brown in 2016, and he is still with the team for the 2017 season…
The Denver Broncos brought in former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown for a look in training camp last year, but Brown was not healthy enough to contribute to the 53-man roster. Brown had a connection to former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak from their year in Baltimore together, but Brown is also a very talented, former starter with the Ravens that is still young.
There have been a couple of outlets that I have seen that have included Brown among the Denver Broncos’ unrestricted free agents for the 2017 offseason, but that is not the case.
In November of 2016, Brown signed a two-year deal with the Broncos, including being part of the roster through the end of 2016. Shortly after being signed to the 53-man roster, Brown was placed on injured reserve as he continued to recover from injuries that had kept him out following training camp.

I spoke with Brown on the matter, and he told me that he was indeed still a member of the Denver Broncos and that you can’t believe everything you read. Well, you can believe this: Unless he gets released from his contract, Brown is still a member of the Denver Broncos.
The 6’5″ 215 pound receiver offers some nice upside of he can stay healthy, and the Broncos have been closely monitoring his development through injury, so they know exactly where he is at. While he may have been released prior to the start of the 2016 season, Brown stayed in Denver to rehab and recover, and the Broncos were keeping a close eye on him throughout that time.
With Brown in the mix, the Broncos have another big bodied receiver who can help out a young quarterback with a big catch radius. If he is healthy, he has a decent chance of making the 53-man roster.
