Denver Broncos Quarterback Trevor Siemian was able to shed the sling supporting his shoulder after AC joint surgery. He could be ready to go by OTA’s.

The new league year for the NFL is set to begin soon. There are going to be a lot of questions for the Denver Broncos.

One of which is the quarterback situation. Trevor Siemian will be ready to compete once the team activities begin.

The starting quarterback during the Super Bowl defending season told Troy Renck of Denver7 the news that he is no longer wearing the sling. He wore it to help in the recovery of AC joint surgery.

Here is what Trevor had to say to Renck.

"“I am out of the sling and everything is going really well so far. I should be good for OTA’s but we’ll see. I’ll touch base with the [doctor] at the end of March and see how I am doing.”"

Trevor Siemian is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job. He had a solid 2016 campaign as he threw for over 3,000 yards.

Paxton Lynch and perhaps a third quarterback (Tony Romo?) is expected to compete with him.

There will be two things that I will be keeping a close eye on. His recovery from his shoulder injury and his progression in year three.

I have no doubt that Trevor Siemian will be ready to compete. He did a good job in his first full year as a starter.

I am hopeful that Mike McCoy’s offense will help him improve as a quarterback. And with a better offensive line, he could have a great year.

Next: Marlon Brown Will Remain with the Denver Broncos in 2017

Being able to take as many offseason reps as possible will really help Trevor Siemian’s chances of winning the starting job for the 2017 season.

He will update in March, so we will know a little bit more then once he does.
