In the third round, the Broncos are going to look to add some depth to the defensive line with their first selection:

Jones is a short (6-0) but stout (321 pounds) nose tackle prospect with great burst, strength, and athleticism for a big man. As a nose guard, the Broncos could rely on Jones on a limited number of snaps, as they are expected to sign someone to start at that position in free agency. that doesn’t mean Jones won’t see the field as a rookie, however, as the Broncos could rotate him in frequently, especially on passing downs.

Keeping defensive linemen fresh is key, as we saw last season. The Broncos struggled with their depth up front, and this player would certainly help solve some of those issues.

With their final third round selection, the last pick of their day two selections (in this trade-up scenario), the Broncos are going to look to cash in on the perceived weakness of the offensive line in this year’s draft class…

While he’s listed as a center by all draft outlets, Pocic has the size and length to play a number of positions on the offensive line. His ability to play center in this case is important, as returning center Matt Paradis is coming off of multiple hip surgeries this offseason after playing all of last season with injuries.

Though Paradis played extremely well with his injuries, depth at center is needed and Pocic has versatility to step in and start at center if needed, but potentially develop into a very good right tackle or offensive guard.

The options with this kid are wide open because of his willingness to line up in different spots but also to be the very best he can wherever he is. He could very well be the most versatile lineman in this year’s draft, and a major asset for the Denver Broncos if he is selected here.
