Continuing with the free agency “Keep or Let Walk” series, we take a look at Vance Walker and determine if he should be re-signed or let him test free agency.

When it came to the run defense, that was the one area that the Denver Broncos were not great on in 2016.

Derek Wolfe had a solid year.  Sylvester Williams was almost quiet all season. And the run stopping linebackers could not do much.

With that said, I will look at a player who missed all of last season.

Vance Walker was a solid substitution player for the Denver Broncos in 2015. Whenever Wolfe or Malik Jackson needed a rest, Vance Walker was there to help.

The plan was to have Vance Walker start in 2016. However, he suffered an ACL injury during preseason and missed the entire year.

Having a torn ACL and missing the year on the final year of your contract can make things tricky on the future of Vance Walker.

Could Vance Walker have made a difference? We will never know.

If we are going off his stats from last year, he would be a great addition to the team.

During the Super Bowl season, Walker recorded 33 tackles and two sacks.

Not bad numbers for a player who had limited snaps.

The biggest question will be how he rebounds from ACL surgery. It won’t be easy to come back from that injury.

Vance Walker has the ability to not only stop the run, but he can get to the quarterback too.

Personally, I would like to see him return on a one year deal. A great first year followed by a season ending injury warrants that.

Give him at least one more year to show what he can do. I know I would take a chance on him.

I mean, it appears the Broncos are interested in bringing him back. With that said, I say they go for it.
