Denver Broncos: Top 10 Players of 2016 Season
By Tylor Walden
No. 9 – Shane Ray
In his second year for the Denver Broncos, Shane Ray was able to take that next step.
John Elway took his chances with Ray after his run in before the NFL Draft. Because of that, he dropped out of a lot of draft boards.
The fact that Elway traded up to get him was a huge surprise by many, but it proved to be of help.
In Year Two, Shane Ray doubled his sack numbers from his rookie campaign. His role was increased with Demarcus Ware playing limited snaps.
Shane Ray took full advantage of the situation. He was even able to record his first NFL touchdown as he took the Von Miller strip sack of Andrew Luck in Week 2 to the house.
There was no sophomore slump for the Missouri product. Will year three be the magic number for him to continue on his tear? Tune in and find out.
