The Denver Broncos are searching for a new head coach, and were reportedly spotted dining with Vance Joseph at John Elway’s steakhouse…

One of the clearest signs of John Elway closing in on a target is a steak dinner. It’s not a 100 percent guarantee, but it’s pretty darn close to it, and according to an eye-witness report in Denver, Elway and a contingent of the Broncos’ front office were spotted at dinner on Tuesday evening.

This relationship appears to have been given a violent shove into serious as the Broncos pursue one of the top coaching candidates on the market. Joseph has interviews lined up the rest of this week, but if the Broncos don’t want him to leave town, it would make sense that they are spending as much time as possible with him before potentially making an offer.

If Joseph leaves town without an offer, it would seem like a huge upset at this point. We don’t know the exact amount of time the Broncos have spent with each candidate they have interviewed, but Joseph’s interview began at 11 AM Mountain Time and as of the time of this writing, they are still talking.

Interestingly enough, Joseph didn’t have any confirmed interviews with other teams until after his interview with the Broncos had come to a reported close. When Joseph’s interview at Broncos headquarters finished, it was assumed he would head out of town and get to his next destination, but that hasn’t been the case.

It was then reported that Joseph’s plan all along has been to fly out of Denver on Wednesday morning, but now we have learned that the men in charge of making this decision are spending a considerable amount of time with Joseph before he heads out of town.

I still believe the best candidate for this job is Kyle Shanahan, but the Broncos have to make the decision they feel is right for the team. John Elway and the front office of Denver know more than I do, so we’ll have to wait and see what they have up their sleeve next.
