One way to get lucky is to be really good on special teams, and not only to be good, but to be crafty. The Chiefs have been exactly that, pulling off some really impressive special teams plays this year, led by rookie return specialist Tyreek Hill, who has been a thorn in the side of the Broncos this year.
The mastermind behind the Chiefs’ special teams unit is Dave Toub, who is reportedly drawing plenty of interest on the head coaching market this offseason:

Toub might not be the leader of the pack for one of the NFL’s most coveted head coaching jobs, but the Broncos are certainly going to do their research and get to know him to find out if he is the best man for the job.
The 54-year old Toub has been a special teams coach in the NFL since 2001 where he broke in with the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent three seasons there before moving on to his longest job to date in this league, spending 2004-2012 with the Chicago Bears. He’s been with the Chiefs since 2013, and has been a real asset for that team.
Since Toub took over for the Chiefs in 2013, coming along with Andy Reid, they are tied for the NFL lead with nine special teams touchdowns. The last special teams coach to leave Andy Reid’s staff for a head coaching gig was when he was in Philadelphia and some guy named John Harbaugh left to coach the Baltimore Ravens…
