The Denver Broncos have made a tentative decision of how they will spit reps for Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch in advance of Sunday’s game…

The Denver Broncos are planning on honoring the fans at Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders, and the guests of honor will be treated to nearly every active player getting significant playing time on Sunday.

That includes the quarterback position, where the Broncos are prepared to trot out Trevor Siemian to start the game, and move to Paxton Lynch after the first half. Head coach Gary Kubiak expounded on his tentative plan to play each quarterback:

“I kind of do [know], but I want to see how the game goes, too. Obviously I can sit here and tell you that they’re going to play a half and a half. I can tell you that, but let me see how the game goes. In their mind, that’s kind of where we’re going right here, but let me see. That could change, but they’re both going to play…

That’s just kind of my feel for the game and what’s going on in the game, but I would like to see them come out. Hopefully there are 75-snaps for us and they both play. What’s half of 75? I’m an Aggie (laughs). Hopefully somewhere right down the middle. They won’t be running in and out. I can tell you that. One will play and then the other one will play.”

An ideal scenario for the Broncos would be to see both quarterbacks engineer multiple scoring drives, but that might be asking a lot since this team has been basically allergic to scoring touchdowns over the last month.

It’s been an embarrassing season for the Broncos offensively, and neither quarterback is exempt from blame.

Hopefully against the Raiders on Sunday, we not only see both quarterbacks but we see both of them succeed. This game is meaningless in terms of the overall standings of playoff push (for the Broncos) but it’s a very meaningful game for these two young quarterbacks.
