Right under our noses, the Denver Broncos suffered two key injuries to the offense. I talk about what this might mean and cover the rest of Wednesday’s Injury Report.

It was a heartbreaking loss on Sunday Night Football for the Denver Broncos. But the team must focus in this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But even more bad news has surfaced as a result of the game.

More from Predominantly Orange

Starting off with the running game taking a gigantic blow, Andy Janovich hurt his ankle on the first play for the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He played through it, but the injury was too much for just rest alone.

Tuesday, he underwent ankle surgery and will miss the remainder of the year. The team is expected to place him on Injured Reserve prior to Sunday.

Andy Janovich was the biggest factor in the running game this season. Having him gone the remainder of the season will hurt.

That was not the only bad news to surface.

Quarterback Trevor Siemian suffered a sprained foot during the overtime period in the loss. His foot is in a walking boot.

Siemain is day-to-day. However, with the boot, it appears Siemian might nit be ready.

This means that it is all but written in stone that rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch will be starting in his second game of the season.

The first start did not go well against the Atlanta Falcons. While the numbers were decent, you could tell his status as rookie quarterback was well seen.

But with Siemian in a walking boot, it appears that Lynch could suit up on Sunday.

Here is the rest of the injury report.

For the Jacksonville Jaguars, the two names to keep an eye on are the two former Denver Broncos.

Julius Thomas missed practice with a back injury.

Malik Jackson has a back injury that limited him in practice.

This is going to be a tough stretch of games. But we knew that going into the bye. We will keep you updated on all the injury news as it becomes available.
