Denver Broncos: Broncos Country Looking To Drive Out Hunger
By Tylor Walden
One awesome member of Broncos Country is looking to make a difference this November as he looks to feed the needy when Trevor Siemian gets greedy.
Perhaps the greatest thing about the Denver Broncos players and fans is how involved they are in the community. For one member of Broncos Country, he is looking to make a difference in the lives of those who are in need for food.
Michael Dopheide, whom most of you may know as DipityDawg on social media platforms, has put together a campaign that is for a great cause.
Touchdowns To Drive Out Hunger is the campaign that will help needy people be able to enjoy a meal during this time of year. Every November for the past four years, Michael has put together this drive.
What does Broncos Country need to do? Simple. For every touchdown pass that Trevor Siemian throws in the month of November, you donate six cans or non-perishable food item to your local food bank, church, or charity.
The six cans represent each point in a touchdown.
The best part is that you do not have to live in Denver in order to participate. You can be in another state or country and participate.
This is one of the best drives that is run yearly. I mentioned this drive briefly last season and on a podcast I was on last year and I will most certainly be participating in the drive this season.
Sunday Night’s game against the Oakland Raiders could be a good time to get those cans in. The Raiders pass defense is fifth worse in the NFL. Hopefully, this could be the game in which Siemian has one of his best games of his young career.
So, let’s hope we can feed the needy because Trevor Siemian gets greedy and throws those touchdown passes.
