A couple of weeks ago, I traveled out to Denver, Colorado to see the sights and watch the Denver Broncos take on the Atlanta Falcons. Here is my adventure through my eyes.

It has been a while since the Fanzone articles have made their presence. I apologize for that. After the Tampa Bay game, I traveled out west on a vacation of a lifetime.

I got back to the east coast with a quick turnaround as the Broncos and Chargers were playing on Thursday. Because I was getting adjusted back, there was no Fanzone interview for the Houston Texans game.

This week, I have decided to skip the interview and finally get the chance to show you all my amazing trip to the Mile High City.

My first time in Denver, Colorado was quite a fun one. I could already feel the altitude of the city from the moment my plane landed on the runway. I quickly rushed off the plane to continue hydrating with water.

Meeting up with two of my Broncos friends, we took their advice and met up with them at a restaurant and bar to hang out and watch some Thursday Night Football. The hospitality provided by James Hernandez and Sarah Garner was very welcoming.

I had the chance to interview them both last season on the Fanzone and I have continued communication with them ever since.

On Friday, I had the chance to tour the stadium with my friends Joyce and Sheleen. It was quite a remarkable experience. And while I did not get the chance to go onto the field, seeing all the sights and places around the stadium was very fun.

Then we met up with another Broncos fan, Ron Greco, and got to talk to him about everything related to the team. It was so much easier to communicate with fans of the same team instead of being on the east coast and having to defend the team every single week.

On Saturday, we got to meet another Broncos fan Kelly Kern. I had interviewed her earlier this year for the first game against the Carolina Panthers. Leo, who is also a huge Broncos fan, joined in and we all went to dinner and had a blast.

Then came the game against the Atlanta Falcons. For myself, Kelly, and Leo, it was the first home game we were attending. We were so excited. Exploring the sites of the stadium was very fun. You could tell the atmosphere was full of energy.

Going to the Sons of Mile High tailgate, I met up with Ron and another friend Chris Voss (whom I interviewed last season) and we got to talking and knowing more about each other. The hospitality provided by James Hernandez at the tailgate was exceptional. I will definitely tailgate with this crew again.

I was sitting in the South Stands and the truth that it is the rowdiest area in the stadium was true. Stopping our feet for every big play, every third down. It was a remarkable experience. And of course, which Kelly can vouch for, the best part was being able to yell IN-COM-PLETE!

Even though the Broncos did not win the game, it was still an amazing experience getting to have fun at the first ever home game. I was finally among my people. Waiving the orange towels, yelling until my voice was lost, and just being able to interact with the thousands of Broncos fans was so much fun.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will make my way back to the city of Denver, Colorado to cheer on my favorite team. I am so happy that I got to experience the trip.

If I could go back in time and do it all over again, I would do so in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone in Denver for the hospitality. I look forward to visiting again.
