Denver Broncos: RB C.J. Anderson to Miss Time With Injury
By Tylor Walden
The Denver Broncos have suffered a significant blow to their running game as it appears that starting running back C.J. Anderson will miss time with a knee injury.
Just when C.J. Anderson was helping get the running game going, the injury bug bites the Denver Broncos once again.
It appears as if Anderson will miss some time due to a knee injury that he suffered in Monday’s game against the Houston Texans.
Adrenaline never gave up however as Anderson played the remainder of the game. But you have to be worried about the injury. As of now, the timeline for him to return has yet to be made clear. Some reports say he could be out a couple games to perhaps even more.
He will get a second option on his knee. From there we will know how much time he will miss.

While Anderson does miss time, it appears as if we will get to see Devontae Booker get more carries in his absence. As far as who will be behind Booker, it has yet to be seen.
Perhaps Kapri Bibbs could be an option. He had a solid preseason and, from my perspective, could be a great back that can make the cuts into the open field and find the hole in the blocking quickly.
A second option could be looking at free agency. One name that has been linked to the Broncos is C.J. Spiller, who was just released by the Seattle Seahawks Wednesday afternoon.
And let us not forget that Juwan Thompson is on the practice squad as of now. He could be a solid option on key situations like third and short and goal line.
Anderson had a solid game on Monday, recording over 100 yards rushing in the game and one touchdown. It was his best game of the season. It is such a shame that as he was gaining his groove, he ended up injured.
Broncos fans know well that C.J. Anderson is a second half runner. He has made his presence known in the second half of the season, when the games start to really matter.
I believe the Broncos will be okay with Devontae Booker in the lineup, but I would not be surprised if the team makes a move depending on how Booker does in practice.
Broncos Country wishes you the best C.J. Anderson. Get well soon. Predominantly Orange will keep you updated on any news regarding the injury.
