17. Detroit Lions (24)

The Lions are the Chargers of the NFC.  Matthew Stafford is playing as well as he ever has, and their offense is really humming.  They still have the issue of having a poor defense, something that will stop them from being a true contender.

18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (24)

After two consecutive wins the Buc’s find themselves at 3-3, and only a half game behind the Falcons with a win already in hand for tiebreaker purposes.  The Falcons better watch themselves or these young Buc’s will overtake them for the division lead.

19. Cincinnati Bengals (23)

It’s hard to declare a team “back” after beating the Browns—but how good is A.J. Green?  If the Bengals can finally get back a healthy Tyler Eifert, they should have enough weapons to get back into the playoff conversation.

20. Houston Texans (15)

Patriots, Vikings, Broncos.  Each time the Texans have played a great team, they have wilted like the pretenders that they are.  They have a nice win vs. KC—other than that, it’s been close wins against bad teams.  Brock Osweiler has been a monumental failure for his price tag.  The Texans are going nowhere very very fast.
