13. San Diego Chargers (20)

You could make a legitimate claim that the Chargers could be 7-0.  In every loss the Chargers have suffered they squandered a fourth quarter lead.  Now, the breaks that were going against them in the first five games have begun to go the other way.  This team is FAR better than their record would indicate.

14. Buffalo Bills (8)

The Bills ran into a division opponent in Miami that has played some very strong football the past two weeks.  Clearly Buffalo didn’t have their “A” game either, something that they will need to bring next week as they host Tom Brady and the Patriots.  The Bills already have a win in hand against the Pats, a second one could be very important down the stretch.

15. Washington Redskins (9)

The Lions are the Chargers of the NFC—a team that is better than their record indicates.  The Skins were a stop away from a five game win streak, but these things happen—no need to panic.  The Redskins are still alive in the NFC East, but have some work to do.

16. New York Giants (16)

This was a good win for the Giants.  Eli Manning didn’t throw a touchdown pass, so for the Giants to win a game on the laurels of their defense bodes well.  It is good to be able to win games in different types of ways—it’s the mark of a good team.
