5 Players the Denver Broncos Should Target at the Trade Deadline
I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get tired of watching Max Garcia get beat on the pass rush. It doesn’t matter who is under center if they’re running for their lives from the moment they snap the ball.
Bushrod is a former pro bowl tackle now on the downside of his career playing guard. He’s been the Dolphins steadiest lineman this year, but he’s a free agent as well, so it’s difficult to figure if he would be available.
Garcia isn’t a starter right now, and the Broncos would probably have him on the bench if they had any worthwhile backup. Acquiring a guy like Bushrod would buy the coaches time to take Garcia aside and try to fix his myriad issues while keeping a steady hand on the field.
The Patriots have already won the division, but the Dolphins could still sneak back in the wild card race. If I’m Adam Gase, I’m not looking to scrap my way into the playoffs in my first year of a reclamation project. I’d trade all the veterans on expiring contracts that I could.
