This team misses Ronnie Hillman. Well, not the player, but the skillset. DeVontae Booker and C.J. Anderson are very similar running backs. They need someone that can beat linebackers to the edge. Robinson is stapled to the bench and he’s a free agent at the end of the year, so he could be had for less than what Elway threw away on Vernon Davis last season.

The offense needs a spark; too much is reliant on the quarterback making quick reads. They need to simplify it for the young QB’s. Spreading the defense out could help open up the zone blocking downfield.

Throwing a couple screens to Robinson and moving him around the formation would add a different element to this offense without deviating too much from the playbook. The run game isn’t fooling anyone right now. Something needs to change, so why not take a low risk gamble on a former Hesiman contender?
