NFL: Week Seven NFL Power Rankings
By Steven Kriz
13. Arizona Cardinals (14)
Whether or not Carson Palmer will miss any time with a hamstring is still up in the air—he claims he was just cramping and will be fine. Regardless, it may not matter. David Johnson now has over 100 yards from scrimmage in six straight games and seems more than ready to carry the load no matter who plays quarterback.
14. Philadelphia Eagles (10)
After a 3-0 start, the Eagles have come all the way back down to Earth. Now that the dust has settled, they probably aren’t as good as everyone touted them to be when they were undefeated. But what we have seen is that Carson Wentz is still playing at a very high level—a very good sign for the future of this franchise. In a season that had very little in the ways of expectations going in, Eagles fans should still be thrilled with where they are at. This is a good football team, and a .500 finish at the end of the season would show great improvement. Anything beyond that would be a bonus.
15. Houston Texans (19)
Sunday Night was the Lamar Miller show, as he fought for four quarters just to give his quarterback a chance at the end. Brock Osweiler delivered two very nice throws in the end to complete the comeback. Now, he gets a full week before he gets to return to the franchise he left. Von Miller and company will be waiting—you think they forgot he said that Houston gave him the best chance to win? Me either.
16. New York Giants (26)
For the first time all season it appeared Odell Beckham Jr. was having fun. The Giants are going to need more of good Odell if they want to keep up in what is becoming a very competitive NFC East race. They had better hope they can get his head on right before they have to play Josh Norman and the Redskins again. It seems to always go downhill for Odell after matching up against Norman.
