Explanation: Through four weeks of the season, my initial predictions look like they need to be swapped. I thought it would be the AFC that wouldn’t have a team better than 12 wins whereas I thought the NFC would have at least two teams to win more than 12 games. At this rate, I don’t know if that’ll be the case.

Although Russell Wilson has had a lingering injury, this team just finds a way to get hot at the right time and I feel like with teams like Carolina and Arizona stumbling out of the gate, Seattle can take advantage of their early lead use that momentum to get the #1 seed.

Even though the Vikings have looked like the best team in the NFC up to this point, I just can’t help but think that they’re going to have some low points this season. They have a great coaching staff that is getting the most out of its players but to me, there’s just something off about the Vikings. Despite any potential setbacks, I do think that they’ll play well enough to get the #2 seed.

More from Predominantly Orange

In the chaotic mess that is the NFC East, a new challenger has risen. To many, it was a surprise to see the Eagles (with a rookie QB, no less) get off to such an impressive start. Like most teams with  young QB’s, I think that they will have some rough games and fall off a bit. Fortunately, I think that they will do enough to get double digit wins and hang on to that division lead.  Let’s face it, I have the Falcons winning the NFC South for two reasons.

  1. Their offense is dangerous
  2. The rest of the division can’t help but trip over themselves

The Falcons will win the south, but how far they go in the postseason will be decided by how well Matt Ryan plays. Simple as that.

For the wild cards, I have one obvious pick and maybe the biggest surprise pick of the entire article. I believe that Green Bay will bounce back and get into the playoffs. That’s not a surprise. What is, though, is the suddenly resurgent Rams. Maybe moving to LA gave them some sort of momentum.  I don’t know what’s more impressive.

The fact that the Rams are winning despite Todd Gurley being a non-factor in the offense or that they’re winning these games with their first round pick on the bench. Regardless, kudos to the Rams organization for getting off to a good start and finding ways to win games.

That’s all we got for the NFC Playoff Predictions. Thanks for reading!
