The quarterback position took an unexpected turn to the Broncos’ first round pick in the second quarter against the Buccaneers. Clinton McDonald spun Siemian around like a top and slamming him to the ground. Siemian would head to the locker room with a collarbone injury giving way to the Broncos first round draft pick. Both quarterbacks deserve a B in their performance. Siemian had pressure in his face all afternoon, but stood in the pocket and made great throws to Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas.

Paxton Lynch’s errand throws are rookie mistakes and will continue to get better with reps. It was great to see the first round pick get reps with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. Lynch has tremendous mobility to separate him from a lot of quarterbacks in the NFL and the stiff arm to separate from a rush gives a glimpse of the future. Siemian is extremely underrated as a mobile quarterback to evade pressure and is also capable of running the Broncos offense, but cannot do it with the pocket collapsing his pocket.

The quarterbacks played well considering all the line trouble deserving a B grade, but it could have been better with stellar offensive line play.
