Denver Broncos: Best Games All Time vs. Tampa Bay
By Tylor Walden
November 7th, 1976- Broncos 48 Bucs 13
The only time that the Denver Broncos played the Buccaneers as division rivals was in 1976. The Broncos dominated as the Buccaneers had just entered the NFL. It was one of the first 26 losses the Bucs would suffer to begin their franchise history.
It did start well for the Bucs, as the two teams were tied at 10 at the end of the first half. However, the Broncos outscored them 38-3 in the second half.
After the Bucs scored to take the lead at 13-10 in the second half, it was all Denver from that point on. 38 unanswered points.
The Broncos got three touchdowns from their defense during that run. An interception from Randy Gradishar returned for a touchdown was followed with another pick six by John Rowser and a fumble return for a touchdown by Randy Poltl.
Those three turnovers were part of four forced by the Denver Broncos defense.
