October 3rd, 2004- Broncos 16 Bucs 13
A Jason Elam 23-yard field goal halfway through the fourth quarter was the deciding points as the Broncos defeated the Buccaneers by a score of 16-13.
The biggest moment of the game was how the Broncos were able to keep the ball away from the Buccaneers. The Broncos had a 15 play drive that ultimately ended with a punt. But the biggest thing on that drive was the time.
The Broncos offense held the ball for over seven minutes on that final drive. By the time the Bucs got the football back, they only had 3 seconds to work with.
Quentin Griffin and Jake Plummer were great on that final drive, effectively running the ball and eating up the clock.
Plummer completed less than 50 percent of his passes, but was effective to get the win. This game was also a defensive effort for both teams. Neither team cracked 300 yards of offense.
