Trevor Siemian had a big game, especially in the 4th quarter. How confident are you in his ability to win games for the Broncos after winning his first three starts?

I thought Siemian looked really impressive as a rookie in preseason last year. But as with Paxton Lynch this year, I knew that didn’t mean much coming against 3rd stringers. But the things the organization has raved about since day one has translated to actual games.

I remember Kubiak and Elway talking about him for the first time last year, each highlighting his mind. Siemian is a flat liner. Even his speech after he got the game ball on Sunday was calm. I also like his mobility and espcability, which are only helped by his calmness in the pocket.

The thing holding him back is his arm strength, and yes I realize I’m saying that with him coming off a game where he threw two bombs for TDs. But the velocity on his passes scares me at times and this will be result of most of his mistakes.

The great thing for him is with this defense, he has time to figure out what throws he can and cannot make, which is what he has seemed to do so far. And as a guy who wanted Lynch in the draft, it’d be a great thing if Siemian could keep having games like Sunday to give Lynch as much time as possible to be the future. This should go without saying, but Trevor Siemian turning into even an average starter is what’s best for everyone involved.
