What must the Bucs do to stop the Broncos defense this week from getting to Winston and forcing turnovers and big plays?

The first answer is to protect him. The Bucs’ offensive line has been decent over the first three weeks, and it is incumbent upon them to keep Winston clean. As anyone reading this knows, Von Miller and company can destroy a game rather easily.

They also need to gameplan to thwart the aggressiveness of the Broncos’ defense. How do you do that? Use it to your advantage. Screen passes are a great way to slow down a pass rush, and Charles Sims runs them well. The rush comes in, and the screen goes over their heads.

It makes the defense adjust. Running a lot of quick slants will help as well. Get the ball out of Winston’s hands before the rush can get there. That will make Wade Phillips adjust their defensive game plan, and give the Bucs the chance to make some plays.
