Predominantly Orange Week Four NFL Power Rankings
By Steven Kriz
Week three brought dramatic change for this week. Who were the sharp risers and who fell off the cliff? It’s all in the Week Four NFL Power Rankings.
Week Three in the NFL—the week that seemed like it was going to be the easiest to predict turned out to be just as wild and crazy and any other week. Four teams in the top-10 got beat, and some upsets caused some extreme movement from lower teams. See where your team falls below in the Predominantly Orange Week Four NFL Power Rankings:
1. Denver Broncos (1)
I’ts hard to beat the Champs. The naysayers said that Siemian couldn’t do it on the road; Siemian couldn’t go deep; if the run game wasn’t working this team would fold. What happened Sunday was that Trevor Siemian became the first QB in NFL history to throw for more than 300 yards, 4 TD’s and 0 INT’s in his first road start—not bad for a seventh round pick. The Bengals hadn’t lost a home game in September in over 5 years—but it’s hard to beat the Champs.
2. New England Patriots (2)
At some point “Next Man Up” just can’t work right? Wrong! No Brady, No Garappolo, no Ninkovich, basically no Gronk—no problem. All they do is win, and win convincingly at that. However another week brings another injury as Jacoby Brissett has a thumb injury and may not be ready for week four. The good news is the Patriots have 10 days to get either Brissett or Garappolo back. If they can’t, it’ll be Edelman time at QB. Anybody plan to bet against them? Me either.
3. Minnesota Vikings (5)

The Vikings are playing a fantastic brand of football right now. Their defense is the real deal, as they just went into Carolina and forced Cam Newton into his worst game since—well—the Super Bowl. Sam Bradford continues to look good and there is no reason to think that this team can’t make a run towards the Super Bowl—with or without Peterson.
4. Green Bay Packers (6)
The offense returned to Green Bay, as 31 first half points put the game essentially out of reach. The Lions did mount an impressive comeback, but at the end of the day the Packers moved to 2-1 in impressive fashion. The best news for Packer Fans—Jordy Nelson is back and looking like the Jordy of old. That bodes well for this team moving forward.
