Well, this was a nice start for Chip Kelly’s 49ers as they absolutely steamrolled the Rams.  Not quite sure if the Niners defense is actually good, or if the Rams are just that bad but time will tell.  Navorro Bowman looked like a beast out there, which is a welcome sight for Niners fans.  Blaine Gabbert was average at best, but when you play for Chip Kelly, that’s really all you need.  A larger sample size will be needed but the early returns are good in San Francisco—then again I’m sure the people of Philadelphia said the same thing after their first Chip Kelly game.
