The Denver Broncos trail the Carolina Panthers 17-7 going into the half. I give my first half reactions and analysis on the first 30 minutes of the game here.

The Denver Broncos trail the Carolina Panthers 17-7. If the Broncos had executed on their first two red zone opportunities, this score could be much different.

However, two key turnovers as the team was driving led to seven points for the Carolina Panthers. And if not for the two missed chances in the red zone, the Broncos might be up right now.

I take a look at the first half and give my reactions to the game thus far.

The team were doing so well in the first two drives until two costly turnovers turned into seven points for the Carolina Panthers.

A Devontae Booker fumble turned into seven points for Cam Newton and company. Luckily, a tipped ball from Trevor Siemain did not turn into points. So, the score could also be much worse.

The defense has looked solid. The one thing that I have seen that has been such a huge problem for the defense has been the third down defense. The Broncos defense have such a difficult time so far getting off the field on third down.

The biggest thing for the Denver Broncos in the first half was Andy Janovich scoring his first touchdown as a NFL player. On what most thought was a designed first down run turned into a 28 yard touchdown run by Janovich.

I know for sure that I jumped out of my seat after seeing that touchdown run. Trevor Siemian has been impressive in the first half of this game. Minus the interception he threw, he has looked solid. This could be exciting to see if he can keep it up in the second half.

The Carolina Panthers will receive the ball to start the second half. The defense will need to do a better job at getting off the field on third down. And if the offense can continue to produce, things could start to look up.
