Thursday, Oct. 20th-

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers:

What does a 1-5 team need to do to get back on track?  Well, lets just say facing an angry Aaron Rodgers is NOT the fix.  Rodgers comes out and throws for six TD’s, and Jay Cutler is sacked seven times.

The Pick:  Packers 45  Bears 17

Sunday, Oct. 23rd-

New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams:

The Rams put on a stifling defensive performance in this contest as the Giants only gain 180 net yards all game.  Aaron Donald shows why he is the best defensive tackle in the game.

The Pick:  Rams 20  Giants 3

New Orleans Saints at Kansas City Chiefs:

The Saints are 3-0 at home this season, but only 1-1 on the road with their one win being a tight game against the winless Chargers.  This is a big test for the Saints to see where they are really at against a good Chiefs team that has played a brutal schedule to date.  Unfortunately for the Saints, they don’t pass.

The Pick:  Chiefs 27  Saints 17

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans:

Needless to say the Titans have struggled this year, and today is no different.  Andrew Luck continues to show why he deserved the richest contract in league history, and if the year ended after this day, he’d probably be the MVP.  Another three TD’s in the air, one more for good measure on the ground, and the Colts are officially good again.

The Pick:  Colts 31  Titans 17

Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles:

Neither team has been too impressive to this point after their trade a week before the regular season began.  The early reviews of Bradford have been mixed, and aside from the opening day heroics, Carson Wentz has looked mostly like a rookie on a bad team.  On this day though, Wentz throws for two touchdowns and has his first turnover free game of his career earning the Eagles a win.

The Pick:  Eagles 23  Vikings 20

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals:

The Bengals are were favorites coming in to the Ohio showdown, but on this day, Cleveland shows that it is moving in the right direction.  The Browns jump out to a 20-3 lead behind to RGIII rushing scores, but the Bengals come storming back in the second half and tie the game at 27 on a late Dalton bomb to A.J. Green.  In overtime, the Browns get the ball first and score a fieldgoal, but a 52-yard run by Jeremy Hill dooms the Browns bid at an upset.

The Pick:  Bengals 34  Browns 30

Washington Redskins at Detroit Lions:

The Lions are hot, but they are the Lions, and a letdown was inevitable.  They get one on this day as Stafford’s footwork problems rear their ugly head as he throws two ugly first half INT’s and put the Lions in a big hole that they cannot dig themselves out of.

The Pick:  Redskins 28  Lions 17

Oakland Raiders at Jacksonville Jaguars:

The battle between the two up and coming teams.  Jacksonville wants to win and show that they are series about competing for the AFC South title.  Oakland is the better team on this day however, and the Raiders get a much needed road victory against a good team.

The Pick:  Raiders 31  Jaguars 24

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins:

The Bills hot play continues.  The Dolphins continue to be hot and cold.  It has been an interesting year for both teams to say the least.

The Pick:  Bills 24  Dolphins 16

Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets:

The Jets got back on track a week ago with a much needed victory, and Baltimore has faltered as of late.  On this day, Joe Flacco outplays Ryan Fitzpatrick, and the Ravens get a much needed win against a quality opponent.

The Pick:  Ravens 27  Jets 24

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers:

The Bucs get a nice break from the schedule makers after two tough outings in a row, and they take full advantage as Jameis Winston somewhat regains his earlier season form as he throws for two scores and runs for another.  Doug Martin also has himself a nice day, with a 134 yard outing, and the Buc’s roll right through Chip Kelly and the Niners.

The Pick:  Buccaneers 34  49ers 21

San Diego Chargers at Atlanta Falcons:

This is an opportunity for both squads, as neither have shown much of anything to this point in the season.  The Chargers come out like a team playing for their lives, and Melvin Gordon has perhaps the breakout game of his career, rushing for 179 yards and three scores.  The Chargers finally get themselves on the board.

The Pick:  Chargers 38  Falcons 28

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers:

After a blip in the radar a week ago, the Steelers get the chance to show they are an elite team in the AFC as they host the Patriots on Tom Brady’s revenge tour.  Tom Brady, however, cannot out duel Big Ben on this day, as Ben is proving that his name belongs atop the quarterback rankings.  This match goes to the Steelers.

The Pick:  Steelers 27  Patriots 24

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals:

Always a fantastic game between division rivals, this showdown in the desert on Sunday night is no different.  This game turns into a defensive battle between two of the leagues strongest defenses, and the home team squeaks by in the end.

The Pick:  Cardinals 17  Seahawks 16

Monday, Oct. 24th-

Houston Texans at Denver Broncos:

Brock Osweiler is back from his injury, just in time to come back to his former team who, for the second year in a row owns the top ranked defense.  Welcome home Brock.  Osweiler finds himself a whole new low on this night, as Houston is held to only 118 net yards from scrimmage.  Osweiler is sacked nine times on the night, four by Von Miller, and three from Derek Wolfe.  Paxton Lynch puts himself into contention for rookie of the year with a three TD, no turnover performance as the Broncos handle the Texans easily.  The Texans only points come off of a Devonae Booker fumble on the on the Broncos 22 yard line.  The Texans lose yardage on the drive, but still manage points.  Not the homecoming Brock was hoping for.

The Pick:  Broncos 31  Texans 3
